Version 1 · Effective 7 September 2026
These terms govern the Regrind Referral Program (the “Program”), operated by PLOTPILOT LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom (“Regrind”, “we”, “us”). By joining the Program — tapping “Join referral program” in the Regrind app — you accept these terms. They sit alongside our User Agreement and Privacy Policy, which continue to apply.
The Program is available to Regrind users on iOS through the Apple App Store. Purchases made anywhere other than the App Store do not count toward it.
To join the Program you need a Regrind account, you must be at least 18 years old, and your App Store region must be one our payout provider supports (section 7). If your region is not supported, the app will tell you when you try to join; you can try again if you move regions or our provider's coverage grows.
We determine your region from your App Store storefront when you join. When you later set up payouts, our payout provider verifies your country independently, and its determination replaces ours. Our provider may decline to verify you or may restrict your account, in which case we cannot pay you even though you were able to join. Where that happens we will tell you what our provider has reported.
Friends you refer must be new Regrind subscribers. A subscription that existed before your code was redeemed does not produce a cash reward, and moving an existing subscription to a new account does not make it new.
When you join, you receive a personal referral code. Share it with friends. When a friend enters your code while setting up Regrind and later makes a qualifying payment, you earn the rewards described below.
A friend's account is linked to your code once, permanently, at the moment they redeem it. If they have already redeemed someone else's code, your code will not attach to them. Linking is one-way and one-time: it cannot be changed afterwards, by you or by them, and neither of you is told who the other is beyond what you share yourselves.
Each friend you refer can earn you a cash reward at most once, and can count toward the membership reward in section 6 at most once.
You earn 20% of the net proceeds of each referred friend's first qualifying payment. One cash reward per friend.
Rewards are calculated and held in US dollars. Amounts shown in the app are USD regardless of your local currency.
Because a reward is a share of net proceeds, the amount varies with what your friend bought, what they paid in their currency, and the tax and commission applied to it. The app shows you the actual amount once a reward is earned.
A payment qualifies when all of the following are true:
A free trial that later converts into a paid subscription qualifies at the point the paid charge is taken, not when the trial starts.
We calculate net proceeds from the transaction data Apple reports to us through our payment infrastructure: the amount your friend paid, less applicable tax, less Apple's commission on that transaction. Apple's commission rate varies by transaction and is taken from the reported data where available.
Figures shown in the app are estimates based on store-reported data and may be adjusted when final amounts settle.
You can earn cash rewards for up to 100 qualifying referrals per calendar month (measured in UTC).
Referrals beyond that limit still count as activations toward the membership reward in section 6, but earn no cash. Because each friend can qualify only once, a referral that falls beyond the monthly limit does not roll over into the following month — it is worth no cash permanently.
Cash rewards follow the App Store's payment cycle, because that is the cycle on which we are paid for subscriptions.
Each reward belongs to the statement period in which your friend's payment occurred. Rewards for a statement period become payable on that period's settlement date, which is typically about a month after the period closes.
The app shows you two dates, and they are different: the date the current statement period closes and your on-screen progress resets, and — once a payout exists — the date by which you need to claim it.
On the settlement date, if your total rewards for that statement period are $10.00 USD or more, a payout is created for you.
If your total for a statement period is below $10.00, those rewards expire. They do not carry over into the next period.
The app always shows sub-threshold amounts as progress toward the $10.00 threshold for the current period, never as a banked balance, so what you see on screen is what this rule pays.
Separately from cash: when 3 of your referred friends activate, you unlock a one-time offer of an extended 30-day Premium trial, presented to you within the Regrind app.
This unlock is once per account and does not stack. If you already hold an active Premium subscription — including lifetime access — when you reach 3 activations, no substitute reward or credit is provided. Activations continue to be counted and displayed either way.
The extended trial is delivered as an App Store introductory offer, and Apple allows each Apple ID one introductory offer per subscription group. If you have already used a Regrind free trial on your Apple ID, Apple may not make the extended trial available to you. That eligibility is Apple's to determine and is outside our control.
Payouts are delivered by Stripe, our payout provider. The first time you claim a payout, you complete Stripe's hosted form to verify your identity and add a payout method, such as a bank account. This setup happens once; later payouts send automatically without any action from you.
Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the information you provide in that form. We never see or store your bank details or identity documents — they go directly to Stripe.
Payouts are available in the countries Stripe Global Payouts supports for our account. Verification can take time, and a payout does not send until Stripe reports your account as ready.
Your payout is calculated in USD. If your payout method uses another currency, Stripe converts it at the exchange rate applying when the payout is sent. The app shows an approximate local figure before sending and the actual delivered amount afterwards. Conversion or receiving fees may apply depending on your bank.
Each payout must be claimed within 30 days of being created. If you have not completed payout setup within that window, or your payout details cannot be verified within it, the payout and the rewards behind it expire.
If a payout is sent but your bank returns it, we will ask you to update your payout details before we try again. If a payout fails before sending, we retry it a limited number of times. If Stripe restricts your payout account, payouts stop until the restriction is resolved with Stripe.
You are responsible for any taxes arising on amounts you receive under the Program. We may be required to report payouts to tax authorities, and we will collect whatever information that requires.
If a referred friend's qualifying payment is refunded, the associated reward is reversed. If we have already paid it out, the reversed amount is recovered from your future rewards.
A friend whose qualifying payment was refunded may qualify again with a later subscription. Total rewards for any one friend never exceed one qualifying payment's worth.
The Program rewards genuine recommendations. The following void rewards and may lead to removal from the Program or action on your account:
We may withhold rewards and payouts while we review activity we reasonably suspect breaches these terms, and may cancel rewards obtained through such activity. The payment timing described in section 5 also functions as our verification window.
Your code is personal to you and remains ours. We may replace it — for example, if it is being abused. A replacement code keeps your history: friends already linked to you stay linked, and rewards already earned are unaffected.
You can leave the Program at any time from the referral screen in the app.
Leaving deactivates your code immediately, so it can no longer be redeemed. It forfeits every reward you have earned that has not yet reached its settlement date — which may span more than one statement period, since a closed period's rewards remain unpaid until its settlement date arrives. Payouts already created for earlier periods remain claimable under section 7.
Friends you referred remain linked to your account. You can rejoin at any time: you receive a new code, and future qualifying payments from linked friends resume earning rewards. Amounts forfeited when you left, and rewards relating to payments made while you were out of the Program, are not restored.
If you delete your Regrind account, your code is deactivated immediately and pending redemptions of it will no longer work. Any payout already created for you still has to be claimed within its own 30-day window under section 7.3, and expires if it is not.
We keep the records of rewards and payments made under the Program after account deletion, because we are required to retain financial records. We remove the contact details we held for Program correspondence. Section 11 and our Privacy Policy explain this further.
To run the Program we process your Regrind account identifier, your referral code and the links between codes and accounts, the transaction data Apple reports for referred purchases, and the reward and payout records this produces.
Where you claim a payout, Stripe collects your identity and payment details directly and processes them as an independent controller under its own terms. We receive back from Stripe only what we need to record the payout: your verified country, your account status with them, and the amount and currency delivered.
We keep reward and payout records after you leave the Program or delete your account, as described in section 10.3. Our Privacy Policy governs everything else, including how to exercise your rights over your data.
We may update these terms and the Program's rates, thresholds, limits and rewards, and we may suspend or end the Program.
Changes are not retroactive. Rewards are always calculated under the version of these terms in force when your friend's qualifying payment occurred, and each version of these terms is archived with its effective dates. Material changes are reflected in the app before they apply to new earnings. If the Program ends, rewards already earned are handled under the version they were earned under, and any payout already created remains claimable under section 7.
The Program is offered by Regrind and is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the Program or for any reward under it.
Taking part in the Program does not make you an employee, agent, partner or joint venturer of ours, and does not entitle you to represent us. You take part on your own account.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with the Program is limited to the rewards properly earned under these terms and not paid. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of your local law. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
